I think Persistence and Confidence are the two things I have improved most on this year. I never actually thought that all the lessons about using the keys of success would actually help me. To be completely honest, I actually thought they were a big waste of time that we could’ve been spending doing useful things like Literacy or Maths. Now I know hoe useful they actually were. I have become way more persistent then last year. When we would do Maths-which is one of my biggest struggles-I would always just talk to other people during the lesson and then wait until the Lunch bell goes then I could finally put my book away and forget about it until the next day. I know that this is wrong but I was just so lazy and I was scared of what the teacher would think when I couldn’t do what the rest of the class was doing. I remember always waiting until the teacher actually had to follow me up about something that was supposed to be handed in a week ago. Things have changed now and I’m improving every day. Now, if I don’t know how to do something, I’ll ask someone near me and if they don’t know how to do it I’ll ask the teacher because I now know that it’s their job to help me (I’d like to thank every teacher that I’ve ever had for their patience!) Confidence is another thing which I mentioned before that I’ve really become way better in (if that makes sense). I’ve notice myself how I contribute way more in class discussions now that I don’t think to myself that people will laugh at whatever I say. I’ve made lots of new friends this year which probably has something to do with me being confident enough to contrinbute. Overall, I’m really happy with the way I’m ending this year and the end of my Primary School.

Hi! If you don’t know, I do dancing every Monday nights. Tonight we got a letter from the teacher which told us about Bronze Team auditions. The Bronze Team is one of the elite competition teams at the dance school I go to. There’s Bronze, Silver and Gold. Last year when I first started Dancing, I really wanted to try out for the Bronze Team when I came to the age, but now that I’m here I’m having second thoughts. At the audition you go to the dance studio and start the lesson regularly (warm ups, stretches and corner work etc.) you’re also tested on your flexibility which I shouldn’t really have a problem with since I’m naturally really flexible. You then learn a piece of a dance routine that is choreagraphed by one of the dance teachers. After you’ve learnt it, you go and perform it infront of three judges. I’m fine with doing everything but I’m a tad nervous about performing infront of judges and I’m lacking the CONFIDENCE KEY! For our graduation assembly we have to come out to a song. I’ve chosen to come out to Differently by Cassie Davis. It’s an awesome song and it totally describes me! There is a lyric in the song where it goes “They might walk but i’m gonna strut”, when I heard that I just had to have that song It’s started to get really hot here and personally I HATE the heat! It’s so irritating because you can’t really do anything to help yourself cool down. I don’t have a pool either which is annoying because sometimes I feel like just running outside and jumping into one. Tomorrow it’s forecasted to be 40 DEGREES! I seriously have no idea how I’m going to cope. I know I’m sounding like a bit of a drama queen but you don’t understand how much I’d rather be freezing to the point of shivering rather than sweating like a pig! that’s about it for now At the start of the term our class was given a Reading Assignment. I was really excited because I love doing these big tasks that I can take my time with and get it done really well. I’m doing mine on My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. This is such an amazing story and I thought it would be perfect for this assignment. Read the post below for a review on the book PS: there’s an extra task that you have to do and I don’t know what to do mine on. If you have an idea for me, please comment on this post or tell me at school Kate was diagnosed with Leakumia when she was 2. Her parents Sara and Brian didn’t know what to do. They decided to conceive a child with the dame bone marrow that Kate would need to survive. This is when Anna was born. Ever since then, Anna has undergone transfusion, surgeries and shots so that Kate can survive. Anna has never had a choice of what happens to her. Until now when she decides to sue her parents for the right to her own body. Her lawyer is Campbell Alexander. As the book goes on you start to find out more about this mysterious man. I won’t ruin the end for you but all I will say is that the endings are different in the book and the movie. I recommend this book from 13 to any age. it might be a little to deep for a person under 13 to understand. On Saturday it was my birthday party! I had it at my house from 1pm until 5pm. First we sat down and played a bit of Guitar Hero Metallica but nobody really wanted to play because they wern’t really good at it. I thought that people were getting a bit bored of talking so I took extreme measures… I GOT THE WATER BALLOONS! My cousin DNA68 and I went into my laundry secretly to fill some up. we got two of our friends-Anast and Adri17- to go trick some people into going outside so we could bombard them with balloons. When the people that were left inside saw what was going on outside, they immediately wanted to do it aswell. I gave people some of my old t-shirts and off we went. It was like a battlefield out there as people were throwing water balloons like crazy, it was so much fun! After all the ballons ran out we dried off and went and cut the cake. I wished that we had cut it earlier so my hair didn’t look so frizzy in the photos and I wasn’t wering my John Cena wrestling t-shirt I hope everybody had fun

Book Review- Sweet Valley High: Power Play by Francine PascallPosted by: anac7 in UncategorizedThe ‘Ms Sweet Valley High’ competition is coming up and of course, Jessica knows she is going to win. When she reads the rules, it says, ‘each contestant must have done at least a week of community service.’ Jessica starts a new, highly selective club-The Sweet Valley High Beautification Comittee’-where she says they are going to improve the SVH Campus. Elizabeth knows Jessica has more on her mind than simply cleaning up SVH. It’s obvious that all Jessica wants is for the Beauties to become the most exclusive girls at school, even if it means killing the new girl Robin’s dream of finally fitting in. This is the 4th book in this cool series. I would reccomend this to 12-14 year olds because it’s really funny and Elizabeth is a really good role model to girls entering their high school years because she shows that high school isn’t just for socializing. Rachel is in her second year of Higs School. Her one true love Raf just broke up with her after she ’stood him up’ at the Spring Fling dance. She was actually at her dads sudden wedding with his girlfriend, but Rachel didn’t get the chance to tell Raf. She’s gotten on the bad side of the schools ‘Queen Bee’ Lana, after she accidently spilt water on the fashion runway that Lana was walking on. Lana slipped and broke her leg and is now out to get Rachel! You’d think that Rachel’s bestfriend Samantha would be there to help her through all this drama but Samantha has been diagnoses with a severe cas of the flu and is away from school for the first 4 weeks. On top of all that Rachel just found out that her sister Miri is a which and her mother is a retired one! There are so many funny situations that Rachel get herself and her sister Miri into. A couple of them are flooding thirdwell countries with oranges and filling the gym with soon-to-be-slaughtered cows. Find out how Rachel gets herself into these strange situations by reading Frogs and French Kisses! This is the sequel to the hilarious ‘Bras and Broomsticks’. ![]() http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/images/n29/n145058.jpg Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield: twins that get along (most of the time). Elizabeth is a shy, smart girl who only relies on her close group of friends for support. Her sister Jessica is the complete opposite. Jessica is loud, confident and the head cheerleader (not to mention a bit of the jealous type!). Liz has had a massive crush on the school heart throb Todd Wilkins since the start of the year. She has only told her best friend this because she thinks Todd is way out of her league and she would get embarrassed if everybody in SVH found out. When Jessica gets a phone call from Todd asking for Liz, Jessica makes an excuse to say that Liz isn’t there. Liz starts to lose her confidence as she starts seeing Todd with Jessica, little does she know Todd likes Liz not her sister. This book gets interesting as you get into the part where Jessica tries to convince Todd that Liz is too different then him so a relationship with her would not work out in the end. I reccomend this book to girls entering their teens because it’s a real funky book about teenage love and to me that’s really interesting! ![]() http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51sxgpshZjL.jpg |
